Boris Belchev – a Lithuanian citizen of Bulgarian origin, who has been living and photographing Lithuanian nature for almost 20 years. By education – an ecologist, by vocation – a birdwatcher and educator. He came to Lithuania as a love emigrant, but even after his personal circumstances changed, he chose to stay here – to build his life in the Nemunas Delta, closest to nature and bird migration routes.
Since 2026, Boris has been the head and chief ornithologist of the Neringa Bird Ringing Station. His daily life includes bird watching, ringing, science, photography, and working with people who want to learn more about nature.
During this Coffee Break, Boris will share:
– what the lifestyle and work of a birdwatcher looks like;
– what kind of training courses does he conduct in Lithuania and abroad;
– what is special about bird watching tours and what they offer to participants;
– why the study of nature is becoming an increasingly important part of modern man's everyday life.
This is a coffee break about the balance between city and nature, about preventing burnout, and about why sometimes the best productivity tool... is to go outside.
The event is organized by the Public Institution "Baltic Technology Park" and is financed from the European Union Structural Funds under the project "Growth of the Baltic Technology Park Mature Cluster, No. 02-046-K-0003
